As a BLI you will not doubt do a lot of presentations and may love or hate powerpoint (which can be quite powerpointless)

If you don't want to subject your audience to death by Powerpoint then I highly recommend you hone up your presentation skills by looking at Garr Reynolds blog http://www.presentationzen.com/ and his new book Presentation Zen.

He shares simple and powerfuld ideas on presentation design and delivery and his key message is to use a key words and image to get your message across.

He has really helped me see presentations in a slightly differerent way and, with easy access to images through image libraries such as http://www.istockphoto.com/index.php, I have been able to take my presentations to a new level.

For example - rather than having a slide that says "In a recent survey, 86% percent of people said that mind mapping saved them from between 1 hour and 7 + hours per week " with a small image of a clock in the corner.

 - My slide now has a full screen image of a clock with "86%" in 100 point font with "minimum 1-7+ hours per week" in 60 point font. (see image attached)

You will see many more examples on the website and in the book - the great thing is the congruency with the message we share of key word and images.

Book time in your diary to take time out to explore and look at your presentations with new eyes. Happy to help where I can and please share any suggestions you have
